How T.B Joshua died – Lagos CP reveals

Lagos State Police Commissioner (CP), Hakeem Odumosu, has offered some insight into how the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Temitope Balogun Joshua (T.B Joshua) died Saturday night.

Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that Mr Josuha, 57, died on Saturday according to a statement by his church, Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

Lagos State Police Commissioner (CP), said, he was officially pronounced dead by a hospital around 3am.

“It is true he is dead. I do not know the cause of his death yet. But the information we have is that he was conducting service.

“Along the line, he felt uncomfortable, walked to his apartment himself and never came back.

“His people thought he probably wanted to rest or refresh but when they didn’t see him after a long while, they went in search of him and found him in an unusual position.

“The service started in the evening. But it was around 3am that he was pronounced dead by a hospital.”

The church said Joshua’s last words to his members were “watch and pray.”

He was said to have also reminded them there was time for everything before he left the church hall.

Mr Joshua’s church has millions of followers across the world. Apart from Nigeria where he is based, Mr Joshua also enjoys a huge following across Africa with many African leaders and celebrities visiting his church for prayers and support.

He has also courted controversy with some of his preachings and recently had his Youtube page shut down by the network over a video of an assault on a young woman in his church.

Meanwhile, sympathizers’ have started thronging the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos following the death of the founder, Temitope Balogun Joshua (T.B Joshua).

All flags adorning the premises have also been lowered at half mast.

Sympathisers and followers of the prophet were seen crying around the church premises.

The usual church service did not hold in the church.

Security men at the premises prevented worshippers from entering the premises.

Only church ‘workers’ were allowed into the church premises on Sunday morning.

Synagogue Church gives insight into T.B. Joshua’s last moments

At about 8:30 a.m., a church member expressed disbelief at the news of Mr Joshua’s passage.

“I don’t believe, if it the will of God for him, he will come back. My father will come back, by the grace of God. He has worked and worked,” the woman said.

“He (Joshua) addressed at the synagogue mountain yesterday.”

9:30 am – Some members who tried to drive into the premises with their cars were turned back by the crowd. They were not allowed entry. Outside the church, members cried and sang songs of worship.

A witness also said that some expatriates who had been in the church for prayers were seen leaving this morning.
