#EndSARS: South-West governors, ministers visit Sanwo-Olu

Some South-West governors and ministers, on Sunday, visited the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over the destruction of public and private facilities in the state.

Those present are Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Others are Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of State for Health, Olorunmibe Mamora and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and Minister of Mines and Steel, Olamilekan Adebite.

During the visit, the governor took them on a tour of some of the facilities set ablaze.

Government-owned and private assets affected include Orile Divisional Police Headquarters, Ajah Divisional headquarters, Amukoko Police Station on Cemetery Road, Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu, Lagos Island LGA Secretariat, City Hall, Nigeria Port Authority building at Marina, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre at CMS, Vehicle Inspection Service headquarters at Ojodu and Toll Plazas at Lekki and Ikoyi Link Bridge, among others.

The ministers present said they were directed by the Federal Government to carry out an on the spot assessment tour on the damaged infrastructure, following the hijacking of the #EndSars protest.

As part of the tour, the entourage stopped over at the Nigerian Port Authority Office and the Lagos State DNA Forensic Centre that was set ablaze by hoodlums.
