The Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state has disclosed that the governorship candidate of the All progressive Congress, Dr Kayode Fayemi has agreed to create cattle colony in the state if President Mohammadu Buhari back his rigging plan in the July 14 election.
In a statement by the state publicity secretary of PDP, Mr Jackson Adebayo the APC candidate has promised the cabal in the presidency that the state has a big range of land to accommodate cattle colony contrary to what governor Ayo Fayose said when other APC governors acceded to the proposal by the Federal government.
PDP added that information has it that Fayemi’s promise came when it dawned on him that all the reliance on the so-called Federal might could become a mirage without a serious commitment to the aspirations of President Mohammadu Buhari to actualize the creation of cattle colony in all part of Nigeria.
Adebayo also disclosed that it was after the agreement was sealed that the cabal in the presidency was able to present the President the grand plan to rig the forthcoming Ekiti state governorship election.
According to PDP part of the agreement is that Fayemi should invite some leadership of Fulani herdsmen to the state for assessment of areas that would be allocated to them immediately he becomes governor thereafter an oath will be taking to secure the promise.
PDP explained that it takes the revelation serious because of the toxic desperation of the APC candidate and his party’s history of violence cum uncared culture of the destruction of life and property.
The party calls on the people of Ekiti state to be vigilant in their various communities as the team of herdsmen who we learnt would be visiting the state any moment from now have already been contacted by the APC because in their usual manner they may unleash terror when exposed.
PDP, however, maintained that it will resist any form of rigging in the forthcoming election while warning anybody either through desperation or frustration who join in the plan or act of it would be dealt with by the people.
What we are clamouring for is one man one vote so that we can have a peaceful, transparent, credible, free and fair election as recorded in 2014 when both national and international communities commended the exercise, Adebayo said.
