US Election: Georgia to recount presidential election results by hand

Biden is leading incumbent President Trump with 2,471,906 to 2,457,794 votes, with a difference of 14,111 votes.

Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, on Wednesday noted that Georgia would recount results of presidential election in each county manually.

Raffensperger disclosed this on Wednesday at a press briefing.

He noted that the need to recount the results came due to the close margin between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Biden is leading incumbent President Trump with 2,471,906 to 2,457,794 votes, with a difference of 14,111 votes.

“With the margin so close between them it will require a full by hand recount in each county.”

According to him, “This will help build confidence. It will be an audit, a recount and a recanvass all at once.”

“It will be a heavy lift, but we will work with the counties to get this done in time for our state certification.”

He further stated that the result of the audit would be certified by Nov. 20, which is Georgia’s deadline to do so.

Trump has refused to accept results from the electoral process which he claimed has been manipulated.
