Senator Olujimi physically attack Fayose’s Deputy in Abuja
Senator Biodun Olujimi representing Ekiti South Senatorial District on Saturday openly assaulted the deputy governor of Ekiti state, Professor Kolapo Olusola at the venue of PDP National Convention in Abuja.
Senator Olujimi openly pushed and assaulted the Deputy Governor while they were in the queue to vote at the convention.
However, despite the open assault and provocation by Senator Olujimi, the Deputy Governor, Prof Kolapo Olusola didn’t utter a word and he prevented his security aides from reacting too.
Olujimi has a crisis with the Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose over the choice of his deputy as the Ekiti PDP’s consensus governorship candidate. Also, other PDP governorship aspirants in Ekiti state have criticised Governor Ayo Fayose for endorsing his deputy as a PDP consensus candidate.
Since September 2017, Olujimi and other governorship aspirants working against the progress of governor Fayose and his Deputy, Kolapo Olusola. Olujimi and other aspirants teamed together to support Professor Tunde Adeniran for national chairman in order to pave way for their interest.
Senator Olujimi and other aspirants such as Former Public Secretary of Caretaker committee, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Former Deputy governor of the state, Chief Bisi Omoyeni and former Ambassador to Canada, Ambassador Dare Bejide believed that if Professor Tunde Adeniran emerged as National Chairman, there is probability to team together for defeating the Fayose candidate on the governorship primary. But the situation change on Saturday morning when Olujimi realised that Professor Tunde Adeniran defeated by his opponent, Prince Uche Secondus.
As a result of this, when she realised that there no shortcut to win PDP primary election in Ekiti State, she therefore, out of annoyance pushed the Deputy Governor of Ekiti state.
