Obasanjo Meets Jonathan As He Attends Bayelsa Hospital For Medical Check-up

A Former president and elder statesman, Olusegun Obasanjo has visited the Bayelsa Socialist hospital in Yenagoa for his medical checkup. This is part of his visit to the immediate former president, Goodluck Jonathan

This was disclosed by Bayelsa Senator, Ben Murray Bruce(PDP) who tweeted this morning with a picture of the former president amidst medical staff taking care of him.

Murray Bruce posted with this caption:

“I am currently with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at the Bayelsa Socialist Hospital in Yenagoa where he is doing his physical. Bayelsa State has one of the best medical facilities in West Africa and we are happy the former President is able to experience this.”

He later added, “Great leader. Unending humour.”

It is common for members of Nigerian elite to travel outside the country for routine medical checks and treatments. Obasanjo may be doing this as a way of promoting confidence in our local health system
