Nigerian military aircraft going to clear bandits crashes

A Nigerian military aircraft has reportedly crashed again in Kaduna State, Daily Post reports.

According to the report, the incident happened in Lere Local government area around Saminaka general area in Kaduna State.

A source that spoke with Daily Post disclosed that the crashed plane is an Alpha jet.

The source said, “The fighter jet left Yola, the Adamawa capital, this morning to go clear bandits.”

The spokesman of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Edward Gabwet, has not reacted to the incident as of the time of filing this report.

The Nigerian military has recorded several crashes in 2021.

Recall that a military crash in May claimed the lives of Army Chief, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and other officers.

On February 21, a Minna-bound military jet crashed, killing all 7 people on board.

On April 2, another Alpha jet crashed in Borno during an operation.
