Ekiti 2018: My husband will contest for governorship race – Bisi Fayemi

The wife of the former Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi said her husband will contest the Ekiti governorship post.

Bisi Fayemi announced her husband ambition when invited the All Progressive Congress (APC) women leaders and State executives on behalf of her husband, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi in Isan-Ekiti, his country home.

Meanwhile, the state acting Chairman of the party, Mrs. Kemisola Olaleye has warned all the party executives not to honour any APC aspirants invitation.

According to the resolution of the party, any aspirant or intending aspirant in this forthcoming Ekiti gubernatorial election under the platform of APC must come with his/her supporters to the party secretariat. It’s very wrong for any aspirant to invite the party executives to his hometown all because he/she wants to declare an intention to contest for governor of the state.

It should also be known to all party executives that the party national executive led by John Odigie-Oyegun has warned all executives to desist from giving preferential treatment to any aspirant ahead of others so as to give room for credible, free and fair primary election.
