Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has attacked the Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, over the worsening security situation in the country.
Fayose described Buhari as “the national mishap and the Jonah in our boat”.
The former governor said nothing is wrong with Nigeria as a country and Nigerians as a people but Buhari is the national mishap and the Jonah in our boat.
Fayose appealed to Nigerians to endure till 2023.
The former governor expressed his dissatisfaction with the Buhari government’s handling of security in Twitter rants on Sunday, May 30, sighted by Newsflash Nigeria, after bandits have abducted over 200 students in Niger State and assassinated Ahmed Gulak.
Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that the suspected assassins on Sunday morning shot dead a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Gulak, in Owerri, the state capital.
Gulak, a former Special Adviser to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan on Political Matters, was shot dead while returning to Abuja from Owerri, Imo State.
On Sunday evening, unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted no fewer than 200 students of an Islamiyya school located at Tegina in Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday evening around 4:30 pm.
One person was shot dead while another lays critically injured after gunmen carried out the kidnap operation.
