BREAKING: Gunmen Kidnap pregnant woman, four others in Ekiti

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a pregnant woman and four others in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

It was gathered the incident occurred on Tuesday night at the Ajebandele area along Ado-Ikere road in Ado Ekiti.

The kidnappers stormed the Ajebandele area with sophisticated weapons and shot sporadically, causing pandemonium as residents scampered for safety.

The road linking to Ado- Ikere were blocked at the time of filing this report.

Meanwhile, the  commercial motorists in Ekiti State have raised the alarm over the majority of roads in the state that are no longer safe for both travellers and drivers for fear of attack by kidnappers.

The motorists lamented that several drivers and travellers had been kidnapped on the Ekiti roads and they appealed to the state government to tackle insecurity.

Some of the motorists, who spoke with the Newsflash Nigeria said all the roads in the state had become a dark spot for travellers.

They said several people had been kidnapped on the road allegedly by gunmen in the last two months, while huge ransoms had been paid to secure their release.
