Hoodlums Destroy Tinubu’s Billboards In Osun

Unidentified hoodlums have destroyed the campaign billboards of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in some parts of Osun State.

It was gathered that the billboards were destroyed on Monday, about 24 hours after the state’s new Governor, Ademola Adeleke, was sworn in on Sunday.

Recall that Adeleke on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 403, 371 votes to defeat the incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Supporters of Governor Adeleke have been accused of being responsible for the destruction of Tinubu’s campaign billboards but the accusation has not been verified nor has the PDP leadership in the state refuted the allegation.

However, a chieftain of the APC, Jimoh Babafemi, had during a recent interaction with journalists in Lagos State, maintained that despite the destruction of the billboard and any other form of opposition against APC, the party would record a landslide victory in the 2023 general elections.

Babafemi said that considering Tinubu’s “accomplishments and leadership capacity,” the party was sure to win the presidential election in 2023.

He said that the support being enjoyed by the party was a pointer to its victory in the 2023 polls.
