Two Arrested For Stealing Bitter Kola, Phones, Others in Anambra

Two men have been arrested in Amichi community in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State for allegedly stealing bags of bitter kola and other valuables from a woman.

The suspects, identified as Onyenachiya and Chigbo, were also accused of raping their victim in turns.

A video circulating on social media shows how the suspects were being questioned by some people, while their pump action gun and the stolen bags of bitter kola were displayed. The suspects allegedly confessed to the crime and blamed their actions on the devil.

The video also shows the items they allegedly stole from the woman, including telephone handsets, ATM cards, and money. The identity of the woman has not been revealed.

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident and said it was aware of the video.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said he had contacted the community people in the area to ascertain what happened. He also said he had escalated the information to the Divisional Police Officer in the area for necessary action.
