Have you ever wondered how long you can lecture without stopping? Well, one Nigerian lecturer is about to find out. He is on a mission to break the Guinness World Record for the longest lecturing time, which currently stands at 139 hours and 42 minutes.

The lecturer, whose name has not been disclosed yet, is from the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). He is organizing an event called ACA-A-THON, where he plans to lecture for 150 hours non-stop on various topics related to computer science.

The event was announced by FUOYE Campus Connect, a Twitter page that shares news and updates about the university.

According to the page, the event is scheduled to take place soon and will be streamed live online.

The current world record for the longest lecture marathon was set by Arvind Mishra, an Indian lecturer who taught scientific computation at Graphic Era University in Dehradun, India, from March 1 to 7, 2014.

He lectured for 139 hours, 42 minutes and 56 seconds, breaking the previous record of 121 hours and 15 minutes held by another Indian lecturer.

To break the record, the Nigerian lecturer will have to follow some rules set by Guinness World Records, such as having at least 10 students present at all times, taking a five-minute break every hour, and providing evidence of his lecture content and duration.
