How Mohbad’s Father Blames a Mysterious Injection for His Son’s Death

The father of late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad has spoken out about his son’s death, alleging that an injection he received at the hospital may have contributed to his passing.

The singer, who was signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music label, died on Tuesday and was buried on Wednesday.

His father, Joseph Aloba, shared his grief and suspicion in a video interview that circulated online on Saturday. He said he did not know who took his son to the hospital or what kind of injection he was given. He only saw his son’s lifeless body when they brought him back home.

“I think the injection led to his death. I don’t know the people that took him to the hospital, but according to what I heard, he was vomiting after receiving the injection and that was when they decided to take him to the hospital,” he said.

He added that he did not hear anything from the doctor because he was not there. He decided to take his son’s body to Ikorodu for burial. He said he believed that God gives and takes life, and he accepted his son’s fate.

He also revealed that his son had some issues with Naira Marley and was attacked by some people at the Marlian house.

Mr Joseph Alabi said he wanted to confront Naira Marley but he was afraid of what might happen. He said Naira Marley once called him but he could not reach him back.

He said his son was also attacked when he was working on a new album with Zlatan, another popular Nigerian artist. He said he did not know if Naira Marley was involved in any of these incidents.

He was attacked when he was doing this new album with Zlatan, but Naira Marley was not with those that came,” he said.

Mohbad’s death has sparked a lot of reactions from fans and fellow artists who expressed their condolences and paid tribute to his talent and legacy. Mohbad was known for his hit songs such as “Koma Jensun”, “Ponmo Sweet”, “Sorry” and “Feel Good”. He was also nominated for Rated category at the 2022 Headies Awards.
