Mosque Sacks Kabelohun As Mufasir Over Murder Case

In a related development, the Orisun Awotan Central Mosque has sacked Kabelohun as the Mufasir of the mosque. A source within the mosque confirmed this on Sunday.

The source said the decision was taken at a meeting held in the mosque on Friday, which had the Chief Imam of the mosque, Alhaji Taiwo Huzain; the Chairman of Orisun, Adaba, Akowo and Environs Muslim Community, Barrister Akib Akintola; and other stakeholders of the mosque in attendance.

The mosque issued a communique on Sunday, which stated that Kabelohun was removed as the Mufasir of the mosque and no longer a member of the mosque due to his gross misconduct and his involvement in the alleged murder case.

The communique also stated that Mallam Abdulhakeem Abdulrasheed was appointed as the new Mufasir of the mosque with immediate effect after Friday’s Jumat service.

The communique further stated that a new committee would be inaugurated to look into the affairs of the mosque. It prayed that Allah (SWT) would rectify their affairs. Ma-Aslam.
