How a Blind Herbalist Duped an 86-Year-Old Woman of N19 Million and Slept with Her Daughter and Granddaughter

An 86-year-old woman, Madam Alimot, has fallen victim to a blind herbalist, Owolabi Adefemi, also known as Ojunu, who defrauded her of a whopping N19 million and had s€xual affairs with her daughter and granddaughter.

Madam Alimot, from Mowe in Ogun State, was looking for a cure for her daughter’s diabetes and a way to make money rituals when she heard the herbalist’s advertisement on a popular Ogun State radio station. The herbalist claimed to have mystical powers to heal diseases and predict the future.

She visited the herbalist in Ogijo and was deceived by his elaborate tricks and lies. He made her believe that a cow turned into a man, that she needed to make several sacrifices, and that she would receive huge sums of money. He also manipulated her daughter, Bose, and her granddaughter into having sexual relationships with him.

Madam Alimot sold her two buildings and borrowed money from friends and relatives to meet the herbalist’s demands. However, she never received any healing or money from him. She realized too late that she had been scammed and reported the matter to the police.

The herbalist, Owolabi Adefemi, confessed to his crimes but tried to shift some of the blame to Bose. He said he only collected over N5 million from Madam Alimot and not N19 million. He also admitted that he faked the voice of an old woman to deceive Madam Alimot.

The case has left Madam Alimot homeless, indebted, and traumatized. She is seeking justice and a refund of her money. She also wants to warn other people about the fraudulent activities of people like Adefemi.
