A 19-year-old boy in Nigeria was overjoyed when he won N38 million from sports betting with only N400. He brought the money home to his father, hoping to make him proud and happy. But his father had a different reaction.

Instead of congratulating his son, the father was furious and asked him to return the money to the betting company.

He said he did not support gambling and he did not want such money in his house. He also accused his son of being dishonest and irresponsible.

The boy’s brother, who shared the story online, said their father had seen the betting slip and the evidence of the win, but he still refused to accept the money.

He said their rent was due in two months and their mother was arguing with their father over the issue.
