Ganduje Expresses Displeasure Over Tinubu-Kwankwaso Meeting in France

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has reportedly voiced his dissatisfaction over the recent meeting between the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, and the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Kwankwaso in France.

According to an alleged audio conversation with Ibrahim Masari, a former placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ganduje felt betrayed by Tinubu for having a dialogue with Kwankwaso despite their political differences.

Newsflash Nigeria reports that Tinubu and Kwankwaso had met for four hours in France earlier this week, discussing the possibility of Kwankwaso joining the ruling party.

The meeting had sparked reactions across the country as some members of the APC criticized Tinubu’s move.

In the leaked audio, Ganduje was heard complaining that Tinubu should have at least informed him before meeting with Kwankwaso, saying that he lost the government because of him.

Ganduje had started the conversation by saying that there was uproar in Kano over the meeting between the two political leaders.

The governor said, “Now he (Tinubu) is seeing Kwankwaso as an alternative to us? No problem. Because we don’t have a government? And it’s even because of him (Tinubu) we lost the government in any way.

“Even if he will see him (Kwankwaso), he ought to have called us too. Or don’t you understand, even if symbolically.”
