Farida’s Ex-Husband Spills the Beans on Why He Dumped Her After ‘N100m Wedding’

The ex-husband of the CEO of House of Phreedah Body Care, Farida Abdulkabir, popularly known as Farida Sobowale, has opened up on the reasons why he ended their marriage after about two months of their lavish wedding.

Demola Odulaja, who spoke with a Yoruba social commentator, Arewa Tope Famous, on Tuesday via Instagram Live, alleged that Sobowale was unfaithful, dishonest, and greedy, among other things.

Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that Sobowale attempted to jump into the lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos after the marriage crashed but was rescued by passers-by on Thursday.

Sobowale said she could not cope with the fallout of her failed marriage and decided to take her own life.

However, Odulaja claimed that he had known Sobowale for over 20 years but their relationship became unstable due to her “loose and wayward lifestyle.”

He also recalled a time when Sobowale was dating him and several other men at the same time before they eventually got married.

The London-based businessman further alleged that Farida frequently visited his brother who lived near them and stayed there for hours without explaining why.

While responding to Sobowale’s accusation and label as a gigolo, Odulaja said, “I am very rich. I live in a 22-bedroom mansion in Gbagada.

“I am not a gigolo. I come from a wealthy family and have been flying first class long before now. People know me well in London,” he added.

He continued, “When I returned to Nigeria from London in 2009, Farida met me in Lagos in 2010. That same year, I took her to China to start an importation business which was successful and was the beginning of her travelling.”

He also maintained that he had been having affairs with Sobowale even when she was married to her ex-husband, Tunde Sobowale, whom she had three children with but kept quiet on the rumoured N100 million wedding single-handedly financed by her.

Meanwhile, when our correspondent contacted Sobowale for a comment on the allegations made by her ex-husband, she neither replied to the text messages sent to her mobile number.
