BREAKING: Yoruba Nation Agitators Hijack FG Radio Station in Ibadan

Some people believed to be members of the Yoruba Nation movement attacked Amuludun 99.1 FM in Ibadan early on Sunday morning.

The radio station, which is a community station owned by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), was taken over by the assailants around 6 am, according to some staff members.

They said the attackers came with various kinds of charms and woke up the staff who were sleeping. Some of the staff managed to escape, while others are still missing.

However, the security forces arrived at the scene and restored order. They also made some arrests.

The General Manager of the station, Mr. Stephen Agbaje, confirmed the incident to newsmen and said that the situation is under control.

He said: “Some group of agitators came around in the night and seized the station, but the security agents were able to recover it and make some arrests.”
