BREAKING: Tension in Ekiti as missing 7-year-old girl found dead

There is tension in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital on Tuesday, following the gruesome murder of a seven-year-old girl, Damilade Falade.

According to the report the incident occurred around the Belemo area of Adehun, Ado Ekiti.

Newsflash Nigeria understands that Damilade was said to have been sent an errand by her mother on Sunday, December 5, around 8 pm to a neighbouring house but did not return home that night.

She was later declared missing and efforts to locate her proved abortive.

“She is Demilade Fadare, 7 years old . She was sent on an errand by her mom today 6/12/2021 around 9 am at Adehun, Ado Ekiti. She wore Ankara and a yellow beret at the time. She hasn’t been seen since then.

“Please if you have information regarding her whereabouts kindly contact Mrs Fadare on 0806 070 9694.”

The case was later reported at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps which prompted the officers of the command to besiege the community in search of the girl.

But on Tuesday morning, the corpse of the girl was found in the area and was alleged to have been killed by an insane person who resides in the community.

Speaking with our reporter, a leader in the area alleged that the girl was murdered by an insane man after kidnapping her that night.

The development had led to the destruction of the house of the insane person by some residents of the area.
