BREAKING: NAF Trainer Jet Crashes in Benue, Pilots Survive

A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) FT-7NI trainer jet crashed on Friday in Makurdi, the capital city of Benue State, while conducting a routine training exercise.

The incident was confirmed by the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, in a statement.

According to Gabkwet, the two pilots onboard the aircraft ejected safely and were taken to the NAF Base Hospital in Makurdi for observation.

 He said that the pilots were in stable condition and that no civilian casualties were reported.

Gabkwet also said that the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has ordered a Board of Inquiry to investigate the cause of the crash and prevent future occurrences.

He assured the public that the NAF remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of Nigeria and its citizens.
