BREAKING: Fire guts Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja

In the early hours of Wednesday, a building at the Federal Ministry of Finance, Abuja was razed by fire.

Newsflash Nigeria can not ascertain as of the time of filing this report if the fire has spread to the main building in the ministry.

An eyewitness disclosed that operatives of the federal fire service are yet to arrive at the scene of the incident.

The Federal Ministry of Finance building is located in the Central Business District of Abuja.

Similarly, on February 10, the headquarters of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) was burnt.

The fire reportedly started around 11 pm on a precious night, badly affecting the building’s third floor.

It was learnt that the fire started from the office of the Special Adviser to the FMBN Managing Director, Ahmed Dangiwa, and later moved to the boardroom of the bank.
