Atiku jets off to Europe amidst reports of his ill health

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has jetted off to Europe on business.

Recall that the PDP presidential candidate had last month travelled to the same Europe in the guise of a business trip.

The former Vice President left the country amidst reports of his ill health by ruling party chieftain, Fani-Kayode.

The Media Adviser to the PDP presidential candidate, Paul Ibe, in a statement on Tuesday, disclosed that Atiku went to Europe purely for business.

The statement read: “The former Vice President travelled last night on a scheduled trip to meet with the technical partners of one his business entities that was impacted by the Covid-19 global lockdown and the consequent economic downturn.

“The meeting will also focus on conclusive discussions for a planned expansion of its production facility.”

Newsflash Nigeria gathered that former Minister of Aviation and Director of Special Projects, All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Femi Fani-Kayode has earlier reported that Atiku Abubakar is ill.

Fani-Kayode made this known in a post on his Twitter handle on Tuesday.

The APC chieftain claimed that Atiku collapsed after returning to Abuja after the PDP presidential campaign rally in Kaduna on Monday.

He claimed that the former vice president had complained of dizziness and severe pains in his head.

Fani-Kayode stated that there is something very wrong with Atiku in terms of his health.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “After his outing in Kaduna yesterday Atiku fell ill. He complained of dizzy spells and severe pains in his head and all over his body throughout the flight to Abuja.

“After landing at Abuja airport he collapsed. He was flown to Paris for medical attention immediately. God be with him.”
