Afrobeats Star’s Death: ID Cabasa Demands Arrest of Naira Marley, MohBad’s Father

Rapper and producer ID Cabasa (Olumide Ogunade) has slammed MohBad’s father and Naira Marley (Azeez Fashola) for their roles in the death of the rising Afrobeats star.

In an Instagram Live session on Monday, ID Cabasa said the police should have arrested both of them for questioning, as he suspected foul play in the incident.

He said he was shocked by an audio recording that leaked online, where MohBad’s father was heard defending Naira Marley and blaming his son for his own demise.

“Naira only showed his seniority. His ears were blocked, and (he) didn’t listen. Naira gave me his number about a year ago, but I have not been able to reach him. Naira is not a bad person or the type that would kill him. He only showed him who’s the boss,” the father allegedly said in the audio recording.

ID Cabasa said this statement was insensitive and irresponsible, and suggested that the father had been bribed by Naira Marley to cover up the truth.

He also questioned the haste with which MohBad was buried, saying it was against his Christian faith and could have destroyed vital evidence.

“This man (MohBad’s father) is going to bury loads of evidence which elsewhere he should have been arrested and probably put behind bars,” ID Cabasa stated.

He added that Naira Marley should have been invited by the police for interrogation, as he was the boss of MohBad and had influence over him.

“We are seeing all of those videos,” ID Cabasa said, referring to the clips that showed MohBad and Naira Marley partying hard and consuming drugs before the fatal accident.

MohBad’s father was present as police commissioner Idowu Owohunwa, who inaugurated a special team to investigate the death of the Afrobeats artiste.

It remains to be seen whether the police will take any action against Naira Marley or MohBad’s father. However, ID Cabasa’s call for their arrest has raised important questions about the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s death and the ongoing police investigation.
