Oyebanji directs renovation of roads in Ekiti
Ekiti State governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has directed the State Ministry of Transport to commence a comprehensive renovation of roads within Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
Mr Yinka Oyebode, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.
Oyebode said the Governor gave the directive during an inspection of road projects on Wednesday, in Ado-Ekiti.
He said Oyebanji also ordered all contractors handling different road projects within the state to go back to the site.
Oyebode said the Governor assured that repairs of other damaged roads across the 16 Local Government Areas of the state would commence after the rainy season.
He said Oyebanji maintained that government would prioritise the rehabilitation of roads and construction of new ones in the bid to stimulate economic growth and make life more comfortable for the people.
