2023: APC chairman declares for president

Philip Idaewor, Chairman of Forum of All Progressives Congress (APC) Diaspora Chairmen, on Sunday, has declared to run for the office of the President of Nigeria.

The medical doctor and chairman of APC United Kingdom (UK) announced his ambition on Sunday, NAN reports.

Idaewor, born in Edo, explained that he was in the race to build on the achievements of the Buhari administration.

He said the next president “should be one with fresh ideas from the diaspora”, who has the mental capacity to adapt ideas that made life better for citizens of developed nations.

“My ambition is the ambition of diaspora APC chairmen, made up of personalities in different fields in various countries, and we think this is time for us to wade in and make Nigeria better,” he said.

The aspirant said if corruption is tackled headlong in government and the private sector, “Nigeria will be steps ahead of achieving her dream status”.

“If I am elected, those who think they have ways of beating the system will have to think twice, knowing that the possibility of being indicted or caught will be extremely high,” Idaewor vowed.
