Gunmen kidnap APC Chairman in farm

Mallam Aminu Bobi, the Zone ‘C’ chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Mariga local government area of Niger State, has been abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

It was gathered that the incident occurred around 5 pm on Saturday while Bobi was supervising workers on his farm.

Newsflash Nigeria understands that the gunmen, numbering about 18, invaded the farm in six motorcycles, shooting sporadically.

They were said to have picked only Bobi, leaving his workers behind.

Efforts to get Niger Police Spokesman DSP Abiodun Wasiu proved abortive.

He didn’t pick calls or responded to text messages.
