The Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi has dumped his traditional regalia as he wore European outfit during his visit to Canada.

Oba Abudulrasheed, however, responded to those criticising him for doing so, saying that is his own way of spicing his dressing up with swag.

He said that on a post he made on Instagram on Wednesday, October 16.

In another post he made on the picture sharing platform, he prayed for all the leaders who are working assiduously in building their nation for a better future.

Speaking on Monday, August 5, the monarch described those behind the ‘RevolutionNow’ protest as sore losers intending to invite mayhem to Nigeria through unmerited revolution.

It was gathered that Akanbi said such a call for revolution “at this fragile moment” is unpatriotic and urged agitators to device constructive means of criticising government and leaders.

He expressed disappointment that former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, who is the leader of the “RevolutionNow” movement, would call for a revolution “instead of lending a complementary contribution to take the country out of the security challenge.

He said: “The call for revolution at this fragile moment is not patriotic, it is out of love, uncivilized, non-digital and anti- people.

“We should behave moderately, act patriotically and complement government at addressing its perceived weaknesses.

Let the world see us as enlightened and not conspirator. “I see the mastermind of the revolution as an asset.
