Osun Commissioner Appoints 20 Aides from His Own Salary
Mr Bunmi Jenyo, the newly appointed Commissioner for Commerce in Osun State, has demonstrated his commitment to empowering the people of his community by hiring 20 special and personal assistants to work with him.
According to a statement issued by his Personal Assistant on Media, Mr Sesan Adeleke, the commissioner’s aides will assist him in various tasks and projects related to his portfolio.
The statement also revealed that the commissioner will be paying his 20 aides from his own monthly salary, as a way of alleviating the economic hardship faced by many in his community.
“The aides numbering over 20 are to work with the Honourable Commissioner either directly or indirectly in specific assignments.
“It is also in his giant stride to cushion the effect of economic realities in his community and put smiles on the faces of masses at the grassroots.”
Mr Jenyo, who is a former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, said he was motivated by his desire to put smiles on the faces of the masses at the grassroots and contribute to the development of his state.
He also expressed his gratitude to Governor Ademola Adeleke for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Osun State.
The commissioner’s gesture has been applauded by many in his community and beyond, who described him as a compassionate and visionary leader. Some of his aides also expressed their appreciation and pledged their loyalty and dedication to him.
