Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the President-elect, Bola Asiwaju Tinubu, has said that she will be one of the oldest first ladies the country has ever had.
She made this remark on Sunday at the presidential inauguration interdenominational church service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.
Oluremi, who is a senator representing the Lagos Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, also confirmed that her husband is 71 years old.
She expressed her gratitude to God for giving her husband the victory in the February 25 presidential election.
She said: “We never thought that this could happen but we thank God for giving us hope.
“Asiwaju is 71, I will be 63. I think I will be one of the oldest first ladies Nigeria has ever had. We need God’s grace and everyone’s support to do what we are supposed to do.
“Today, God has shown himself as he did on the night of the primaries and put his stamp on it. It is a time for Nigeria to achieve excellence.”
