Klopp named world’s best coach ahead of Guardiola, Zidane
Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has been named best manager in the world in a survey of Bundesliga players.
German publication, Kicker, quizzed 248 players from all 18 top-flight sides with Klopp seeing off Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola in the race for top spot.
Klopp claimed 35.7% of the votes, while Guardiola got 31.1%.
The other nearest challenges were Bayern Munich’s Jupp Heynckes and Zinedine Zidane. They each took 10.9% of the votes.
Klopp finished third in the Premier League behind Manchester City and Manchester United.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss also lost the Champions League final to Zidane’s Real Madrid last Saturday.
