It is common to pastors; especially in Nigeria, living extravagant their congregants often live in poverty.
Author and former aide Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has taken to Twitter this.
In a Twitter post, he wroteI go to churches and sadly, I see being entertained while they think they are being enlightened.

He went on to talk about the lies often told in church about God work for rather than blessing man’s work.
He wrote: “The LIE in the world is the lie that God will do it for you. said that. The painful TRUTH is the fact that God do for you.
He will, however, bless your work for you. God does CAN’T do for yourself, not what you ” Omokri is fond of dishing out foods for thought which he calls ‘Reno Nuggets’. While his opinions are often accepted by social media users, the reverse is the case sometimes.
A while ago, he received some backlash on social media after he opinion on domestic violence and the issue of divorce in marriage.
According to him, physical/emotional abuse not grounds for separation.
