Gov Makinde speaks on his convoy killing a child in Ogbomoso
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said that his convoy is not responsible for the death of a child that was run over by a car in Ogbomosho on Thursday.
It was gathered that the accident happened when the governor visited Ogbomoso on Thursday for a PDP event.
Our reporter learned that the Governor was in Ogbomoso to lead a campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The campaign train was in Ogbomoso ahead of Saturday’s local government election in the state.
Newsflash Nigeria gathered that some residents of the ancient city were protesting the killing of the child by the Governor’s convoy.
Some of those who stormed the venue of the campaign condemned the death of the child.

Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde, has said that the vehicle which ran over a toddler, killing her, was not part of his convoy.
Makinde said the incident involved a Toyota Matrix whose owner (not part of his convoy) lost control of the vehicle leading to the child’s death.
The Governor, however, expressed his condolences to the parents of the girl and promised to bring the perpetrator to book.
“I received with deep concern the report that my convoy ran over a child on our way to Ogbomoso, earlier today.
“Our preliminary investigation revealed that the child was hit by an individual driving a Toyota Matrix car who lost control of his vehicle. He was not part of my convoy.
