Gov El-Rufai jets out to London amid reports of ill-health

London, the United Kingdom seems to have become the newest medical tourism destination for top Nigerian leaders, Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has reportedly been in London, battling an undisclosed ailment.

It was gathered that the governor on Friday was visited by a senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Senator Uba Sani, and other close associates who had launch with him.

Recall that Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Bola Tinubu, usually jet out London for medical treatments.

According to Sahara Reporters, Governor El-Rufai was allegedly hurriedly flown out of the country a few days ago after falling mysteriously sick.

Though, there is no official confirmation yet from the state government.

The governor alongside his associates was thereafter pictured on Friday, having lunch in an Indian restaurant in London.

According to unconfirmed reports, El-Rufai had flown abroad for treatment a few days ago and his deputy, Mrs Hadiza Balarabe, is currently acting on his behalf.

Balarabe, on behalf of the governor, received the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya, who was at the Kaduna State Government House on Wednesday on a working visit.

London seems to have become the newest medical tourism destination for top Nigerian politicians, including President Muhammadu Buhari who returned to Nigeria on Friday after spending about two weeks in London.

Also, the former Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, is still in London for medical treatment.

Newsflash Nigeria had reported that Buhari who is now in Nigeria, on Thursday, visited Bola Tinubu in London.

Tinubu, the APC chieftain, has been out of the country for over a month.
