The caretaker committee chairman of Karasuwa Local Government Area in Yobe State, Hon. Lawan Gana, has died on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
He was suffering from a brief illness and was taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Nguru for treatment.
He was one of the 17 local government chairmen who were scheduled to be sworn-in by Governor Mai Mala Buni on Friday, May 26.
His demise was confirmed by Mamman Muhammad, the Director General Press and Media Affairs to the governor, at a function organised by the state Commissioner of Ministry of Wealth Creation, Empowerment and Employment Generation.
