Ex-Ekiti SUBEB Chairman, Prof Francisca Aladejana, is dead

The immediate past Chairman of Ekiti Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof Francisca Aladejana, is dead

Aladejana died on Monday afternoon at the age of 63.

The cause of her death is still unknown as at the time of filling this report.

Before her demise, she was the Special Adviser to Governor Kayode Fayemi on Basic and Secondary Education.

Aladejana, a former provost of the College of Education, Ikere Ekiti and she served the SUBEB chairman between March 2019 to August 2020.

Francisca Aladejana had Bachelor of Science in Education and Biology with First Class Honours at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University of Ile-Ife).

She obtained MA in Science Education, and a PhD in Botany (Ife).

Late Aladejana was a senior lecturer and the Director of the Institute of Education, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

She had won two distinguished awards.

Her research interests include science education, gender studies, ICT use in science teaching, and very recently NKS.

She has attended many international conferences and has published widely in many national and international journals.
