Ekiti Ex-Deputy Governor, Supporters Join APC

The former deputy governor of Ekiti State, Chief Abiodun Aluko has dumped the Accord Party to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

A source gathered that Aluko formally declared to APC On Monday, October 1 in his ward, Aare/Araromi ward in Ikere local government area of the state.

Newsflash247 gathered all the supporters of the Ex-deputy governor were also following him to APC for registering as membership at their various ward.

Aluko served under Fayose as deputy governor during his first tenure but he (Aluko) was impeached from office in controversial circumstances in November 2005 and later the state House of Assembly reversed the impeachment.

Chief Abiodun Aluko dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last year August for accusing Governor Ayo Fayose of turning the party to his personal estate and harassing prominent leaders.

He joined Mega Party Of Nigeria, MPN to contest for the last July 14 governorship election but he defeated him through the party primary and later dumped MPN to Accord Party for the governorship election.

Aluko polled less than 300 votes during the last election in Ekiti.
