BREAKING: Ekiti records 13 cases of COVID-19

For these thirteen new cases, the total number of confirmed cases in Ekiti State to 104, of which 55 are active, 47 discharged, and two (2) deaths.

Ekiti State, on Saturday night, July 25, has recorded another thirteen (13) new cases of the COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections in the State to 104 and two deaths.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced on Saturday night, on its official Twitter account, saying, thirteen cases recorded in Ekiti.

For these thirteen new cases, the total number of confirmed cases in Ekiti State to 104, of which 55 are active, 47 discharged, and two (2) deaths.

Four days ago, July 22, Ekiti state governor, Kayode Fayemi, had tested positive for COVID-19 — after a third test.

The governor disclosed his COVID-19 status on Twitter on Wednesday, July 22.

Fayemi tweets:

“I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive.

“I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team.

“I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home”. JKF

Meanwhile, Nigeria, on Saturday night, July 26, has recorded another 438 new cases of COVID-19, otherwise known as Coronavirus in twenty-three (23) states as well as the country’s capital, Abuja, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 39,977 and 856 deaths.

According to the NCDC, who announced on Saturday night, on its official Twitter account.

The centre also said that four (4) deaths from Coronavirus-related complications in the country, but the number of fatalities rise to 856.

NCDC also revealed that total numbers of 16,948 patients were discharged.

As of now, 39,977 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria, with 16,948 patients discharged and 856 deaths recorded.
