Mr Owolabi, a Mathematics teacher at the Itori Comprehensive High, located in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State has been beaten by an angry student after he stopped him from assaulting a female colleague.
According to the report, the teacher was rushed to the nearby hospital to be rescued.
It was gathered the incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the Yewa North area of the state.
Newsflash Nigeria gathered that the yet -to be identified student in the Senior Secondary School 3 (SSS 3) strolled into the class while the teacher was teaching and descended on the junior girl who was in the class.
According to an eyewitness said, “The teacher was teaching SS1 students when the male student entered the class and beat up a girl.
“The teacher told the boy to stop assaulting the girl, but the boy descended on the innocent teacher and beat him up.
“The boy has been apprehended and has been taken to the police station, while the Amotekun group is also on the ground in the school.”
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi pleaded for more time to get information on the incident. He had yet to call back as of press time.

This incident occurred barely 24-hour after some hoodlums invaded a school in the Yewa-North area and injured two teachers.
Suspected hoodlums hired by students stormed Community High School, Ijoun, in Yewa North Local Government Area in the state on Monday, send their teachers away from the school.
A source, who did not want his name in print, told Newsflash Nigeria that the hoodlums stormed the school premises with weapons and descended on the teachers, inflicting varying degrees of injury on them.
The source said the attackers invaded the school at about 10.45 am on Monday and freely used weapons such as machetes and axes on Messers Stephen Oyelekan and Kayode Olatunji, before fleeing.
A week ago, some students of Unity High School, Kajola, Ibooro, in the same local government also reportedly hired thugs to beat up their teachers.
