Gumsu Abacha, a daughter of former Head of State Sani Abacha, says she received a “good upbringing” from her parents.
In a tweet on Monday night, Gumsu said she wishes no one falls victim to violence or a “show of shame”.
“Alhamdulillah for the good upbringing that I received from my parents. May we never fall victim to violence/show of shame. Omo pedigree no be lie wallahi. Alhamdulillah wa shukrulillah always,” she wrote.

Although she didn’t give any context for her post, her tweet comes amid reactions to the arrest of Aminu Muhammad, a student of the Federal University Dutse, over a critical post on Aisha Buhari.
Muhammad’s tweet, which was posted in Hausa in June 2022, reads: “Su mama anchi kudin talkawa ankoshi.”
The tweet, which was accompanied by a photograph of the president’s wife, loosely translates as “Mama has eaten poor people’s money and is now full”.
Condemnations from human rights activists and other Nigerians have since trailed Muhammad’s arrest.
On Tuesday, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) apologised to Aisha and appealed for Muhammad’s release.
Newsflash Nigeria learnt that the Nigerian Police had secretly taken Aminu Muhammed to a Federal Capital Territory High Court.
According to Daily Nigerian, Aminu Muhammed was secretly arraigned on Tuesday.
The police were said to have earlier told his family that he would be arraigned on Tuesday but later postponed the arraignment till Wednesday on the premise that the judge was indisposed.
It was however gathered that the police later on Tuesday arraigned the final-year student before FCT High Court No. 14, after which the judge ordered his remand in Suleja Prison.
According to his uncle, Shehu Baba-Azare, the police did not inform the family about the arraignment.
“It’s clearly a secret arraignment because they did not inform us. We are very concerned about his situation. He will sit for his final exam on December 5,” Mr Baba-Azare said.
