2023: Tinubu Returns To Nigeria From Saudi Arabia
One of the presidential aspirants under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria after attending lesser hajj also known as Umrah in Saudi Arabia.
Newsflash Nigeria understands that the former Lagos governor arrived in the country through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State on Friday night.
Tinibu, who spent three days in Saudi Arabia for the Islamic ritual, was received at the Lagos airport by some of his supporters and associates.
Newsflash Nigeria had earlier reported that the associates of the Tinubu picked up his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the ruling APC at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja.
Some of the Tinubu’s associates include the House of Representatives member from Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke; a member representing Agege Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Babatunde Adejare; and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.
Already, Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; amongst others have picked up the APC presidential forms while others are expected to follow suit in the coming days.
They include Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige; Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi; Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Others are former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; former Abia State Governor, Orji Kalu; former Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun; amongst others jostling to be the flagbearer at the end of the APC presidential primary scheduled to hold at the end of May 2022.
