As the 2023 general elections draw closer, the presidential campaign posters of two Kogi political gladiators, Governor Yahaya Bello and Senator Dino Melaye, Kogi West former lawmaker have started flooding the social media.
Recall that the Gov Yahaya Bello in April, this year, had denied being involved in the circulation of some campaign materials having his photographs and distanced himself from the 2023 presidency.
In a statement, signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mohammed Onogwu, governor Bello said he has no hand in campaign materials linking him to next 2023 presidential election.
Bello said he would not support that kind of premature intention, especially at that crucial moment when the nation and the world was facing challenges of containing the spread of COVID-19.
In a similar vein, the Kogi Deputy Governor, Edward Onoja while endorsing the duo on Friday, retweeted on his verified handle; “I’m the Referee of both Men. If you know you know. Executive experience is an added advantage.”
Meanwhile, the governor and the former lawmaker have not yet responded to the recent campaign of their presidential ambition being circulated on the social media, but indices from reliable sources in recent times confirmed the former might be President Buhari’s successor come 2023.
