Why ongoing crisis between Buhari and APC – Shehu Sani discloses
A former Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani has disclosed the reason behind the alleged ongoing crisis between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari.
Recall that some members of the ruling party have shown their displeasure over the redesigned Naira and cashless policy proposed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and approved by President Buhari.
Also, in a recent interview with Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program, the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai alleged that some individuals in the presidency were working against the candidacy of Tinubu.
Speaking on the situation via a Twitter post, Sani explained that Buhari is trying to leave a legacy where money does not determine who becomes Nigeria’s next president while the APC on the other hand is of the opinion that such a legacy would not guarantee that the party retains power in 2023.
He opined the party is holding on to vote-buying because they are of belief they won’t be able to secure the presidency without cash.
Shehu Sani wrote, “President Buhari wants to leave behind a legacy where money doesn’t influence who becomes Nigeria’s next president.
“The Ruling party leaders think that his record in office can’t deliver them to victory without the massive use of money.
“This is the basis of their family war..”
