The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has revealed the reason why he delays releasing his manifesto for the 2023 presidential election.
Obi, the former Anambra governor said he waiting for the positions of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, before releasing his manifesto.
The LP presidential candidate disclosed this while speaking with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
The LP presidential candidate has been criticised for delaying the release of his manifesto for the 2023 presidential election.
But, the former governor shrugged off the criticisms, stressing that the country has a lot of ideas and documented policy programmes which had been rendered ineffective due to a lack of implementation and political will to do them.
The Director-General of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, Doyin Okupe, had disclosed that the Labour Party’s manifesto will be unveiled ‘sometime next week’ adding that it will be different from that of other political parties.
