Youths earlier today stormed the Lagos office of the EFCC to demand the immediate release of Nigerian singer, Naira Marley.
In a video currently trending on social media, the youths can be seen chanting, ‘Free Naira Marley’
As we all know, the rapper has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC for more than a week now, and will be arraigned in court on Monday on charges bothering on internet fraud.
He was charged to court on an eleven count charge of fraud, and that doesn’t seem to go down well with his fans, as they took to the office of the EFCC to protest.
See some reactions to the development below;
@olayemi2810 – On behalf of all the Legitimate Nigerian youths, we hereby denied all those people involved in this video…. They are not part of us… Thank you!
@Partroclus – Lol efcc fraud unit no be here e Dey na, na back. 2 streets from the H/O. Quiet street to go shout for dere sef go fear you.
@mrbobofemo – Just knockout in their midst and they’ll vanish into thin air
@Lazypoet__ – I watched the whole video with rage. What is this rubbish? Abeg we won’t accept this caption sef… these ones are not Nigerian youths. Just say “Jobless guys took to the streets of Lagos to display unnecessary gullibility under the guise of a protest”
@Dandy_mee – I think it is wrong to use “Nigerian Youths” in this caption. The international community might read this and think that this is really what Nigerian youths are all about – demanding the unconditional release of someone who’s standing trail for cyber fraud
@lloydpiharris – Naira Marley could have been framed, with the Nigerian law enforcement anything and everything is possible, even you kno.
