VIDEO: Oni’s Supporters Booed Fayemi, Calling Him ‘Ole’ In Oni’s House
There was drama on Sunday, May 13, when the former governor of Ekiti State and presently the All Progressive Congress, APC governorship candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi visited Engineer Segun Oni at his residence at Ifaki Ekiti, Ido/Osi local government Area of the state during the kick-started reconciliatory move with his co-contestants for the party’s ticket.
Fayemi, who was on Saturday declared a winner of the APC primary having polled a total 941 votes, visited no fewer than 15 of the aspirants in their respective homes.
The Minister, who was accompanied by APC Ekiti state chairman, Chief Jide Awe, and some chieftains of the party visited Engineer Segun Oni, former governor of the state at his residence in Ifaki Ekiti.
The supporters of Segun Oni booed Fayemi, calling him Ole (meaning thief) in Oni’s House. “Ole! Ole!! Ole!! we don’t need you here”.
Oni and Fayemi were not in good term since 2007 when the two rivals fighting the number one position of the state.
The controversial Appeal Court headed by Justice Salami nullified the election of Segun Oni and declared Kayode Fayemi as the governor of the state in October 2010.
