The family of the kidnapped man in Ekiti State has raised an alarm over the non-release of their son after paying the agreed ransom over a month now; they call on the Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi for help.
A month ago, the gunmen suspended to be Fulani had kidnapped Daramola Idown along Ikere – Ise road, in Ikere Local government area of Ekiti State, on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
Daramola Idowu was kidnapped alongside his son, Daramola Olorunsola and two others.
The kidnappers demanded N100m as ransom on each of the four victims.
Upon negotiation, the ransom was reduced, and upon payment of the reduced ransom, the victims were released on October 16, 2020.
However, Daramola Idowu was not released. Up till today (Sunday, November 8), he has not been found either dead or alive.
The family of the victim has begged the state governor for assistance.
The family is helpless and humbly seeking the governor’s help to find their bread winner either dead or alive.
The family also said that reports have been made to all security agencies in Ekiti State and yet, nothing has been done.
Recall that Newsflash247 had earlier reported that a former Chairman of Ikere Ekiti Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Adesoji Bamidele, was kidnapped on the same route on October 11 and was later regained freedom on October 16 after the family paid a ransom of five million Naira.
The former Chairman, Hon Adesoji Bamidele, popularly known as BAMICO and two others were kidnapped in Ikere Ekiti.
Bamidele was the Ikere local caretaker chairman during the first administrator of Governor Kayode Fayemi.
