‘Use It To Pay Workers’ Salaries’ – Catholic Bishop Rejects Gov Ayade’s N25 Million Offer

Catholic Bishop of Uyo Diocese, John Ebebe Ayah, has rejected an offer from the Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State to his church.

In the video shared online seen by Newsflash Nigeria, Ayade who was a special guest of honour in the church service in Calabar made a donation of N25 million on behalf of the state government, his family and the judiciary.

In his response, the Bishop requested to express himself stating that Ayade was his brother from Northern Cross River.

He expressed appreciation to the governor and urged him to use the money to pay workers’ salaries which was a surprise to the congregation and everyone in the church.

The cleric said: “I want to talk. The governor is my brother, we are both from Cross River North. I want to appreciate the governor and tell him to package whatever he has for me, add to it and use it to pay the salaries of the workers.”
