The candidate of the Democratic Party, Joe Biden, has taken the lead against US President Donald Trump in the presidential election in the state of Pennsylvania and now leading in four out of six states left.
Trump is the candidate of the Republican Party.
Pennsylvania is regarded as the stronghold of the Republicans (Red state).
Trump had maintained the leading votes in the key state since the election on Tuesday — but until Friday when the state turned blue (the Democrat colour).
Pennsylvania is one of the states in the US with the highest number of electoral votes.
The state has 20 electoral votes.
As 98% reporting, Biden polled 3,295,327, while Trump Polled 3,289,731 and both fighting for 20 Electoral College in the state of Pennsylvania.
The final result in Pennsylvania is yet to be announced as counting is still in progress; so, it is not plain sailing for Biden in the state as of now.
Biden also overtook Trump in Georgia, another Republican state where the US president was leading.
Vote counting is yet to be concluded in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona — but Biden is leading in all four.
